Easter at Boughton House

Northamptonshire’s Boughton House is gearing up for a Bank Holiday opening this Easter weekend.

The seasonal opening at the home to the Duke of Buccleuch will offer visitors the chance to witness the spring flowering of the private gardens and enjoy an intimate tour of the House known as the English Versailles.

Charles Lister, property manager at Boughton House, said: ‘Easter is a wonderful time to visit the Estate, with spring snowdrops, aconites and daffodils in full bloom. It’s also an opportunity to visit a portion of the renowned Buccleuch Art Collection in its original setting. Visitors will be able to enjoy an extraordinary variety of paintings and objet d’art, including grisailles by Van Dyck, portraits by Gainsborough and glorious Serves porcelain once owned by French royalty.’

Visit the Estate when Boughton House opens its spectacular House and gardens from April 4^th -6^th.

House tours operate between 1pm and 3.30pm, while the gardens will open between 12pm and 5pm. House and gardens entry costs £11 for adults, £8 for children or £30 for two adults and two children. Gardens entry costs £6 for adults, £3 for children and £14 for two adults and two children. All prices include parking.

The gift shop and Café in the 18^th century Stable Bock will also be open during these dates.
