Christmas at Boughton House

15th November, 2017

Boughton House is getting into the festive spirit from Friday, 1 December, with the return of its Christmas tree sales and special Gift Shop opening.

Visitors will have the chance to select from British-grown hand-cut Nordmann Fir and potted Omorika trees at the annual event at the home to the Duke of Buccleuch.

Boughton’s historic stable block gift shop will be stocking gifts for the whole family, alongside a selection of luxury food and drink. Enjoy books from local authors Alan Toseland and Vic Crourse, plus tipples from Pot Belly Brewery in Kettering, Harrington’s Gin and Two Birds vodka from the market town of Market Harborough.

A selection of handmade wreaths and specially selected Christmas decorations will also be on sale.

Refreshments will be on offer for visitors over the weekend of the 2-3 December.

Charles Lister, Property Manager at Boughton House, said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic programme of activity this year. From a garden festival to a special exhibition and open air theatre, it has been a real celebration of the great outdoors.

“We’re delighted to be rounding off the year with our special Christmas event here at the House. Our Christmas trees are always a big hit with visitors and there will be lots of locally sourced gifts to choose from, if you’re looking for something special.

“It’s also a rare opportunity to enjoy these stunning surroundings in winter, when we’re only open by appointment.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests from near and far when the gates open in December.”

Boughton’s Christmas tree sales run from 1-17 December from 10am-5pm daily.
