Treat for the Senses at Boughton House

Boughton House will be springing into action as the Estate, home to the Duke of Buccleuch, celebrates two special public openings which will give visitors the chance to explore its beautiful gardens and witness the spring flowering of the snowdrops, aconites and daffodils.

The gardens will open on Sunday, March 1^st in support of the National Garden’s Scheme, from 11am-3pm, while over the Easter bank holiday weekend, April 4^th-6^th_, the House will open from 2pm-5pm and gardens will open from 12pm-5pm.  The gift shop and Stable Block Café will also be open during these dates.

Charles Lister, property manager at Boughton House, said: “Ahead of this season’s openings, we have been hard at work so we are ready to welcome visitors to see the outstanding history and heritage of Boughton. The gardens team have also been cultivating and preparing new experiences within the Walled Garden and beyond. We hope our guests enjoy experiencing Boughton’s past and present at these special events.”

Visitors to the 11,000 acre Estate during the Easter opening can also enjoy Boughton’s renowned art collection, which includes 40 Grisailles by Van Dyck and Gainsborough and Serves porcelain once owned by French royalty.
