Boughton House Tours

(please note that tour timings may be adjusted from day to day for operational or other reasons) Tickets may be booked for a given tour up 4.30pm on the day before the tour.

You can choose from a selection of tours at Boughton House depending on your interests during the August opening (tours operate every day in August)

Great Hall Tour

Enjoy some of the finest treasures of the Buccleuch collection as you tour the ground floor of the House, culminating in the stunning Great Hall.

Duration: Approximately one hour encompassing nine rooms.
Price: £11 including access to the Gardens, Exhibition and Armoury
Times: 1pm, 1.15pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, 3.30pm

State Rooms Tour

Marvel at Ralph Montagu’s transformation of Boughton with staterooms fit for a king – in this case William III.

Duration: Approximately one hour, encompassing seven rooms.
Price: Add £4 to House Tour or £11 with access to Gardens, Exhibition and Armoury. (Please note there are two staircases on this tour without access to a lift.)
Times: 3pm, 3.20pm, 3.30pm, 3.40pm, 4pm

The Books, Beds and Beyond Tour

This eclectic tour showcases many rooms found on the upper floors, including the former servants quarters, the china store and the library.

Duration: One hour encompassing 15 rooms. Please note there are a number of staircases on this tour without access to a lift.
Price: £10.00 (this is additional to normal entry)
Times: 2.15pm

Armoury

The world-renowned Boughton Armoury will be open for visitors to enjoy from 1pm – 5pm on a free flow basis. FREE with gardens entry.
